The AFP consortium is an international group that brings together players in the printing industry to keep the AFP architecture up to date and continuously improve it. The members, often competitors in the market, work together to ensure a stable, efficient and flexible architecture, even as the printing world changes. ybam is a member of the afp consortium.

FOGRA promotes research and development of applied printing technology, making the results available to the printing industry. The association has its own institute with a staff of about 50 engineers, chemists, physicists and other experts.

The Ghent Workgroup is an international organization of industry associations and suppliers from around the world. The goal of the Ghent Workgroup is to establish and publish process specifications for best practices in graphic arts workflows. ybam is a member of the Ghjent Workgroup. Yves Bougardier is co-director of the subcommittee dedicated to variable data printing (VDP).
